Not one complaint!
We waited a good 30 minutes to see our vet and got lots of attention in the waiting room… Yewnie officially weighs just under 8 pounds, she is in fact about 2 years old, and they determined her right eyelid isn’t fully formed so she can’t fully blink. Thus causing the watery eye. There’s also a minor scratch on her cornea and I’ll have to give her some cortisone drops until it seems less itchy. Then we’ll switch over to regular eye drops… [Anyone else have Ben Stein's voice popping into their head?] I’m assuming the eye drops are a forever deal which I hope won’t bother her. I personally can’t stand how eye drops feel but if it gives her relief maybe she’ll appreciate it ;]
Yewnie also has a flea issue and is also in the last stages of getting over a kitty cold. I feel so much better knowing she’s been looked at by someone I trust. I want a happy healthy cat and we’re definitely on that path ;]
Last night Yewnie didn’t feel like sleeping and kept waking me up to pet her. She purrs and chirps and walks across you until you give her what she wants… At one point she stole her little mouse toy off my nightstand and shot across the room causing the stick it’s attached to to bang across every piece of furniture in the room. I don’t know if its because I was delirious or not but I was laughing hysterically. Ideally, I’d have a bunch of those little toys without the sticks but we worry Diesel will try to play with them and accidentally swallow them. She had an issue with a bone when she was a puppy so we’re a little on edge about small toys and treats. What kind of toys do your cats enjoy? I have a feeling Yewnie might enjoy anything we get her but I’d hate to buy something and have her totally neglect it…
